Welcome to the Bedworth Society and Parsonage Project Heritage Centre web site.
The Bedworth Society is a local civic amenity society, registered with The Civic Trust. It was founded in 1981 to petition for the preservation of the Parsonage which forms part of the Bedworth Almshouses, the society becoming a registered charity in 1997. The society was established for the public benefit of an area comprising of Bedworth, Bulkington, Exhall and the parts of Keresley not in Coventry. The aims of the society are:
Since its formation, The Bedworth Society has always been active in monitoring developments in and around the Town, this includes the review of all planning applications made to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council. The society has monthly public meetings, with a guest speaker, at the Bedworth Civic Hall from September to May which are always interesting and well attended. The summer programe usually consists of society outings of general interest to members The Bedworth Society are members of The Nuneaton and Bedworth Heritage Forum, North Warwickshire Tourist Association and The Association of Small Museums. |
